     Title: Dyfi 8 Race Report

Sunday 21st saw the return of the Cerist Dyfi 8, a hilly 8 mile trial running race from the Tan y Coed forestry commission site.

A chilly and misty start greeted the assembled athletes, as did a steep ascent from the off to get the blood pumping. The mist cleared to give some spectacular views, for those able to check them out.

Congratulations to Cerist’s own Owain Fychan who took nearly two minutes from his time last year to claim first place in 53:25. First woman home was Kate O’Sullivan in 01:06:59. Second and third overall and winners of the Male Super Veteran and Male Veteran categories were Dave Powell (57:03) and Tom Jones (58:24).

The full results can be found here.

Thanks go to all involved in organising the race, the marshals and everyone who took part. Well done all!
